NYC shopping guide///by Galleriet

Shopping in NYC will make you feel awesome, because everybody treats you like a princess! The compliments are flying high and low, so get used to it, pull out the card, and enjoy.

DOWNTOWN For the mix of everything from topshop to Rag&Bone

I have always lived around Soho, Nolita and Union Square, cause they have the coolest everything! (shops, restaurants, rooftops and bars). Here you can find everything from Victoria Secrets, LF, Topshop, Steve Madden, Urban outfitters, to more mid -and high luxury brands like Rag&Bone, Prada, Jeffrey Campbell, and so on, in the smaller streets. Just take a taxi to Broadway (the main street in Soho) and start in one corner.

The vintage shop A second Chance on 155 Prince ST. is worth a visit, so much chanel and LV

MIDTOWN/UPTOWN for the tourist and/or luxury shopper

5th avenue is for your first trip to NYC, when you want that WOW feeling from the luxury warehouses and the billion dollar shops. I always do 5th avenue from where SAKS starts and up to the big apple store made from glass. (It only takes 15 minutes to walk this strip, but a whole day if you start shopping). Saks is my favourite warehouse because they have their one shoe floor that is insane!

Pretty Fendi bags in the window on 5th

B&H (420 9th Avenue)  is like H&M or Topshop for photo maniacs, and after blogging for so many years i desided the time had come to step it up and invest. After some research it fell on Canon 5D mark 3, and I couldnt be happier!

The Free people shop on 79 5th Avenue have so much cool stuff for a free spririt bohemian kinda girl (photo:free people)

Madison Avenue is the avenue behind 5th, and funny enough, they have all the same designer shops. Prada, LV, Gucci, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Burberry and so on. The flagships we left behind on 5th avenue, is now smaller botiques.

BROOKLYN

Williamsburg is a part of Brookly, here you will find a great mix of vintage and new brands, plus great cafes, bookshops and restaurants. Perfect place to spend a sunny day! Williamsburg Flea market on sundays is worth the trip, you can do great buys here, and enjoy the view while shopping.

Makeup

Half of my makeup bag is foreign brands I cant buy in norway, so I always have to stock up when Im in the US.

Sephora is a must, cause these guys have EVERYTHING. I would recomend you checking out the Sephora brand, Makeup forever, Nars and Bobbi Brown. But they have tons of stuff, so go wild, its like plastic surgery, but cheaper. Remember to use the makeupartists that work here, they will teach you so much, and its free!

Really hope you can use some of the tips!
